Stockholm, Västerås, Uppsala, Sweden
Route: Stockholm will require a few days to dig through some of its marvels. Nevertheless, don't leave it too early. It is a great base to explore nearby Västerås and Uppsala.

Accommmodations: Stockholm provides a wide range of alternatives for staying. However, you may need to adjust your budgetary expectations a little bit. Even the most basic one might mean a good chunk of your money. One thing is gauranteed though, and that is the high standards.
- Stockholm: Lunda Pensionat: Situated in the vibrant Södermalm area, this pension is close to many of the dining and drinking options around the city. It has bigger rooms with shared bathrooms and smaller rooms with private bathrooms. Smaller ones are designed to easthetically make you feel like you are in a boat's cabin, while functionally it takes advantage of all the available space, in the most Scandinavian way.
Food: From the hole in the wall stand to cozy coffee shops to high end restaurants, food in Stockholm will always please your tastebuds. Following is our favorite:
- Pelikan: The usual Swedish fare here includes meat balls with gravy, or pork knuckles. If you are an adventerous carnevrous, this restaurant is worth the wait for open tables. As gross as it can be to many, try complementing your dinner with a flight of local schnapps, called akvavit. At the end, this place was able to please Madonna.
